William Robert Rawlings

Cremation Service for William Robert "Bill" Rawlings, 76, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 22, 1949 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Gracie Maggie (Turknett) Rawlings and Edgar Ray Rawlings and passed away on December 16, 2025 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Teresa Rawlings. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2017.

 As a young man, Bill enlisted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969. His service was a source of quiet pride throughout his life.

Bill dedicated many years of hard work to Texaco, where he built a long and successful career before retiring. In retirement, Bill and Teresa shared many happy years together in Oklahoma, spending their time boating and fishing—activities that brought him peace, joy, and treasured memories.

Bill will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and the steady presence he offered to those who knew him. His legacy lives on through the generations of family he loved so deeply.

Survivors are three daughters, Kristi Williams of Denver, CO, Laura Williams and Mesa of Salt Lake City, UT, and Hope Dotson of Abilene, TX; three sons, Robert "Bobby" Rawlings and Karla of Sallisaw, OK, Shawn Lester of Houston, TX, and Frank Elrod of Hobbs, N.M.; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Doty of Stamford, TX, and Linda Adamson of Enid, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Rawlings; his brother, Doyle Rawlings; and his parents, Edgar and Gracie Rawlings.
