Wanda F. (Newberry) Rogers

Graveside Service for Wanda F. (Newberry) Rogers, 93, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Wanda was born on August 7, 1933, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Bernice (Carbaugh) Newberry and Carl Newberry. She passed away on September 16, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

She married Roy Wayne Rogers on April 4, 1953, in Hobart, Oklahoma, and they shared many years together until his passing on August 14, 2014. Wanda had a caring heart and was the ultimate caregiver to those she loved. She was also a wonderful cook and was especially known for her banana nut bread, banana pudding, and Hello Dollies. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, David and Angie Rogers of Sallisaw, OK; daughter, Joy Rogers of Catoosa, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Rogers of Concord, CA; four grandchildren, Brandi Phillips and Jerod of Sallisaw, OK, Jason Rogers of Brooklyn, NY, Jessica Rogers of Concord, CA, and Jamie Rogers-Bergman of Concord, CA; five great-grandchildren, Gabriel Timmerman of Sallisaw, OK, Liam Platner of Oklahoma City, OK, Owen Platner of Sallisaw, OK, Emily Phillips of Sallisaw, OK, and Haley Phillips of Sallisaw, OK; one sister, Wilma Gaye (Newberry) Reimer of Lone Wolf, OK; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wayne Rogers; her parents, Bernice and Carl Newberry; one brother, Roy Newberry; and an infant sister.
