Wanda Lee Jackson, age 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on May 24, 2025. She was born on February 16, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Maudie May (Robinson) Drury and Youel Lee Drury. Wanda's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, which she cherished deeply.
On March 31, 1978, she married Jerry Jackson in Poteau, Oklahoma. Together, they shared a wonderful marriage of 47 years filled with love and support. Wanda loved caring for her family and found joy in watching the St. Louis Cardinals and PRCA Rodeos.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jerry Jackson; daughter, Cheryl Sewell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; grandson, Dakota Watson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; as well as several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Coby Watson; parents; half-sister, Dorothy Crabtree; and her brother, Otis Youel Drury.
A graveside service to honor Wanda's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Viewing will take place from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, where the family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Active pallbearers will include Jerry Jackson, Jim Jackson, Dalton Stewart, Austin Stewart, Larry Jackson, and Gary Jackson.
