Vanda Elnora Morgan

Vanda Elnora Morgan was born on January 14, 1944 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Jess and Nettie (Touzen) Cantrell. She gained her heavenly wings on January 12, 2026 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years and 363 days.

Vanda married Ronnie Darryle Morgan on April 25, 1978 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. They spent 48 wonderful years together where they called Arkansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma home. They enjoyed gardening and traveling in their free time. Vanda was retired from the literacy center at Northeastern State University in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie, of Tahlequah, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, friends and special friend, Brenda Crawford.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Nettie Cantrell; sisters, Irene Poindexter, Lucy Acord, Salina Brown and Marie Norvell; brother, James Cantrell; and special nephew, Roger Lockhart, Sr.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vanda’s life at her funeral service, which will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery, also in Muldrow. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 PM that same day at the chapel.

Active Pallbearers will be Paul Babbitt, Craig Brown, Mark Erwin, Randy Jeffcoat, Tracy Morgan and Alan Woodward.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Liz Brown, Connie Jeffcoat, Alice Woodward, Kathy Morgan and Becky Beller.
