Shirley Ann (Keifer) Valdivia

Funeral Service for Shirley Ann (Keifer) Valdivia, 82, of Ripley, Mississippi, formerly of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Shirley was born on September 28, 1943, in Wister, Oklahoma, to Zella Mae (Hilburn) Keifer and Carlton Solomon Keifer. She passed away on August 14, 2026, in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Shirley was a retired schoolteacher and of the Baptist faith. She found joy in the simple things she loved, especially reading, frappuccinos, Dr Pepper, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family held a special place in her heart, and the memories they shared with her will be treasured for years to come.

Survivors include one daughter, Elecca Maxwell and companion, David Rothove; two sons, Lonnie Childers and Michael Lockaby; six grandchildren, Ashley Lockaby, Jeremiah Lockaby, Katie Lockaby and husband, Mikey Clark, Brookelan Ables, Zeth Grindale and wife, Kaylee, and Ransom May; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rumsey, Ryver Lockaby, Cash Clark, and Zella Raine Grindale; one sister, Carllene Boyer and Ron; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Zella Mae Keifer; and two great-grandchildren, Jenna Sky Ballard and Jaxon Taylor Grindale.

Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
