Sharron was born on November 12, 1943, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Pearl (Styles) Palmer and Carol Marvin Palmer. She passed away on August 6, 2026.

She married the love of her life, Doug Deer, Sr., on March 29, 1963, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Together they shared many years of marriage until his passing on June 2, 2025.

Sharron was a sales clerk, a devoted homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was watching I Love Lucy, enjoying home renovation and cooking shows, reading a good book, or listening to Elvis. She was well-known for being an excellent cook and took great pride in preparing meals that brought her family together. She also enjoyed keeping up with The Young and the Restless, a favorite pastime for many years.

One of Sharron’s greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved every opportunity to be involved in their lives. She had a nurturing heart and a special way of making those around her feel loved and cared for. Sharron also held a special place in her heart for her extended Deer family and cherished the relationships, memories, and love they shared throughout the years.

Above all, Sharron’s greatest love was her family. She loved them deeply, treasured every moment together, and will be remembered for the kindness, warmth, and devotion she gave so freely to those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Deer of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Aspen Rose Farmer and Joseph, of Van Buren, Arkansas; her cherished great-granddaughter, Evelyn Elaine Farmer; her sister, Carlene Palmer Elliott and Don of Reidsville, North Carolina; her nieces and nephews, Jimmy Elliott and Sheila, Kenny Palmer, Rodney Palmer and Lisa, Nicole Carter and Byron, Stephanie Napier and David, and Patrick Hill and Mathew Hill; those she loved as grandchildren, Savannah Wittman, Mac and Jessica Wittman, and Kimberly Farmer, as well as Brody and Lilly Wittman, whom she loved as great-grandchildren; her beloved pet companion, Koi; along with many other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Doug Deer, Jr.; her beloved husband, Doug Deer, Sr.; her parents; her brother, Jimmy Palmer; her sister, Judy Palmer Hill and her husband, Duane; her nephew, Donnie Elliott; and her beloved pet companion, Cochise.
