Selmer Morris

Selmer Morris, born on April 9, 1939, in Gore, Oklahoma, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a dedicated member of his community, having served in the maintenance department at Vian High School for an impressive 27 1/2 years and prior to that worked at Hickory Springs in Fort Smith for 10 years.. Selmer was known for his unwavering commitment to his work and his kind-hearted nature.

He is survived by his son, Kenny Morris of Vian, Oklahoma, and his daughter, Glenda Morris of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Selmer cherished his role as a grandfather to two grandchildren, Joshua Morris and Dessera Morris, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also remembered by his brother, Robert Morris of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, along with several other relatives and friends who held him in high regard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dessie Morris, his beloved wife, Ola Mae Morris, and his two sons, Robert Dale Morris and Donald Morris. He is also reunited in spirit with his three brothers, Eugene Morris, Paul Morris, and Jerry Morris.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Viewing will be 10 - 4 PM Tuesday and Noon - 8PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.
