Sammy L. Lockhart

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sammy L. Lockhart, age 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, who departed this life on May 27, 2025. A beloved member of his community, Sammy was born on November 14, 1949, in Sallisaw to Eula Francis (Meadows) Lockhart and Sam Calvin Lockhart.

Sammy honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and had a fulfilling career as a bull hauler. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience.

He is survived by his two sons, Calvin and Nikki Lockhart of Greenwood, AR, and Trey and Mady Lockhart of Roland, OK; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Lockhart and Kody Lockhart, both of Cameron, OK, Jayleigh Gann and Remington Gann, both of Greenwood, AR, Mason Lockhart of Greenwood, AR, Merrick Lockhart of Roland, OK, and Kasher Lockhart of Greenwood, AR; one sister, Linda "Millie" Lockhart Morgan of Sallisaw, OK; a niece, Deanna Justice and Tommy of Sallisaw, OK; a nephew, Jason Dotson and Tanya of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous relatives and friends; as well as his loyal four-legged companion of 13 years, Bruno.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service to honor Sammy's life will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery, directed by Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Active pallbearers will include Gene Meadows, Tommy Justice, Kyle Brunk, Colt Justice, Garren Meadows, and Jason Dotson. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Jack Merrill, Terry Dale Webb, Burney Byers, Bill Harp, Kenny Jordan, Ronnie Martin, Kimberly Lockhart, Kody Lockhart, Jayleigh Gann, Remington Gann, Mason Lockhart, Merrick Lockhart, Kasher Lockhart, Trent Jennings, and his cousins.

The public viewing will be available from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will greet visitors from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
