Surrounded by family, Sally Elizabeth Wright, Springdale, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Survivors include son Scott Wright (Tina Wright), Michelle Wright (Roo Winchester), her beloved grandchildren Matthew & Mikayla Wright, sister Norma Wilson, and her niece Tracey Wilson, along with several nieces, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas E “Tommy” Wright, parents Champ and Duffa Crawford, and brother C.H. Crawford.
Sally was born on April 2, 1949 to Champ and Duffa Crawford in Ft. Smith, AR. She graduated from Southside High School in Ft. Smith in 1968. She then went on to Westark Community College in Ft. Smith where she completed an associates degree. On January 8, 1971 she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Wright and they established their home in Ft. Smith, AR. Sally worked at First National Bank in Ft. Smith from the time she graduated until she retired in the year 2000. After she retired she moved permanently to Mt. Ida where her husband, sister, and her built their own home on their land close to Lake Ouachita. Sally was also very loyal to her Arkansas Razorback teams. She rarely missed a game in any of the sports. You could always hear her calling those HOGS!
Sally was one of a kind from the very beginning. Loyal, hilarious, and endlessly devoted, she loved with a force that was unmistakable, and if she loved you, you absolutely knew it. She was a woman of fierce devotion, deep faith, sharp wit, and unwavering love. To know Sally was to feel welcomed, seen, and fiercely loved. She had a presence that filled every room; strong, steady, and unforgettable. She remembered every birthday, every favorite thing, every inside joke. She didn’t just love people, she proved it.
The family asks that donations be made in Sally’s name to the ALS Foundation, (www.als.org) and/or that you simply show up in someone’s life the way she always showed up for others.
A graveside service will be determined at a later date.
