Ruth Casinger Seay Gregory, 91, of Vian, Oklahoma passed away on May 1, 2025 in Gore, Oklahoma. Ruth was born on December 30, 1933 in Notchietown community, Oklahoma, to Cecil and Bertha (Cooper) Casinger. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her stepmother, Roxie and all of her eight brothers and sisters, Gordy, Zola, Bert "Junior", Charles, Donald, Mike, Margaret and Betty. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Seay.
Ruth loved to garden, fish, play dominos and play cards. She was an excellent cook and was known for her very special pecan pie and banana pudding. She loved her family, friends and her church family.
Ruth leaves behind her husband, Johnnie "J.P." Gregory; her son, David Seay; her daughter, Linda (Alvin) Smith; as well as her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeremy and Loretta Seay and Jason (April) Smith; After her second marriage to J.P., she gained bonus step-children and leaves behind Marie, Ann, Sharon, Perry and Joe as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing is scheduled 2 - 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 3 - 5 PM.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Round Mountain Church in Gore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Round Mountain Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma.
Active pallbearers will be Butch Terrell, Rick Spears, Preston Remer, Michael Moss, Wayne Gregory and Eddie Casinger.
The family wishes to thank Gore Nursing Center and Compassus Hospice staff for their dedicated service to caring for Ruth as well as to Marie Moss for assisting Ruth to stay in the home as long as possible.
