Funeral Service for Roy Cleveland "R.C." Cooper, 63, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. 

He was born on March 17, 1961 in Peavine, Oklahoma to Lena Mae Cooper and passed away on June 23, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Edith May (Jennings) Cooper on January 15, 2012 in Park Hill, Oklahoma. Mr. Cooper was a carpenter and worked in maintenance. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1979 and achieved the rank of E4 before being discharged in 1983. R.C. enjoyed music and dancing. He was a sponge for knowledge and was known for his quick wit. He loved and prioritized his family and was loved by all who knew him.

Survivors are wife, Edith of the home; children, Lori Freeman and Adam of Muldrow, OK, Ryan Cleveland Cooper and Alice of Van Buren, AR, Ramona Elaine Sweeney of Van Buren, AR, Erica Zizzo and Antonio of Fairbanks, AK, Rae-Leigha McMurtry of Tahlequah, OK and Dow Jennings of Sallisaw, OK; grandchildren, Emily Freeman, P.J. Freeman, Maria Cooper, Amy Cooper, Noah Cooper, Lily Cooper, Ava Grace Zizzo, Antonio Dawson Zizzo, Oliver Anthony Zizzo, Odyssey Delane Yang, Edessa Mytilene Yang, Ainslie Adalyn Yang and Thorin Uriah Oropeza; sister, Irene Vaughn and Claudie of Stilwell, OK; brother, G.C. Cooper and Crystal of Stilwell, OK; and his father, Audie McMurtry of Stilwell, OK.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Active Pallbearers will be Ryan Cooper, Noah Cooper, Dean Marcou, Donald Ray, Ramona Sweeney, Claudie Vaughn and G.C. Cooper. 

Flower Bearers will be Emily Freeman, P.J. Freeman, Maria Cooper, Amy Cooper, Lily Cooper, Judith Cooper, Nevaeh Wing and Kharizma Wing. 

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
