Rosemary (Chandler) Riggs

August 13, 1947 — November 24, 2023

Funeral Service for Rosemary Riggs, 76, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on August 13, 1947 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to June (Arnett) Chandler and Orville Chandler and passed away on November 24, 2023 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Rosemary loved her church, Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church, and her Bible Study Group that met each Tuesday for the past 14 years.

Rosemary, Arnold and Arnold’s brother, Herbert, and his wife, Melinda, took RV Camping trips each year to different states. As years went on, the sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Melinda, continued their yearly trips exploring from Maine to California and all in between with lots of big stories to tell. They have made many memories through the years and always had a wonderful time doing so. Camping at Lake Tenkiller with friends and listening to the Gospel Music singing was a highlight of each summer.

Rosemary was a highly professional Respiratory Therapist for 22 years at Sparks Hospital and was dedicated to the care of her patients. She was skilled in the performance of her duties and was respected by her co-workers. She was a phenomenal woman, stated by her co-worker, Beth. She loved her job and she loved her co-workers.

Rosemary had many friends that she loved dearly! Her and her friends from high school still got together once a month and went out to eat.

She loved her family unconditionally! She showed the definition of Love for her friends and family, but most of all, her love for the Lord! Through the good times and the bad, she kept the faith. Through the struggles and battles in life, they only made her stronger and her faith never wavered. She was a great example of a Godly woman. She had a heart of gold and gave herself and time so unselfishly to do for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Rosemary had Lung Cancer in 2011 and The Lord helped her overcome. She was cancer free for 12 years! God wasn’t done with her then, but He decided to call her Home, and she was ready to go, to her forever Home that she had lived for, for so many years!
