Funeral Service for Rose Kelley, 92 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Barnoski Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 29, 1931 in Vian, Oklahoma to Eliza Nancy (Beaver) Vann and George Byers Vann and passed away on February 11, 2024 in Vian, Oklahoma with her family by her side. She was married to Melvin Robert Kelley on November 8, 1947 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1964. Mrs. Kelley was a homemaker. A lady dedicated to her faith in God, a mentor to many, devoted mother and grandmother, she was deeply loved by all of her family. Her grandchildren would often compete to be her favorite, but she had no favorite, she loved them all. She prayed continuously for all of her family because she wanted them all to be blessed. She was their anchor and her anchor was God. She enjoyed crafts, fishing, quilting, and making special dishes for those she loved. She will be missed so very, very much as she touched so so many lives in so many different ways.

Survivors are two daughters, Nancy Brown of Vian, OK and Susan Smith and Jerry Lee of Vian, OK; two sons-in-law, Allen Bailey and Merle Greene; 126 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters, Linda Greene and Karen Bailey; three sons, Maynord Kelley, Harold Kelley and Melvin Robert Kelley Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Linda Kelley; one son-in-law, William Brown; two sisters, Lillian Sue Hall and Sarah Kirkland and one brother, Edd Frye Vann.

Active Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Billy Brown, Bobby Brown, Allen Bailey, Keith Herriman and Justin Vann.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Garrett Brown, Gannon Brown, Heath Bailey, Jerry Smith and Dakota Brown.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday and 10 am 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Monday.
