She was born on October 7, 1945 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Nellie (Hickman) Temple and passed away on January 16, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Bob Philpot. She was a cosmetologist, real estate agent and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are husband, Bob of the home; four sons, R.D. Smith (Cindy) of Athens, TX, Jimmy Philpot (Kristy) of Greenwood, AR, Bobby Jack Philpot of Sallisaw, OK, and Brent Philpot (Tawnya) of Little Rock, AR; ten grandchildren, Katie Smith (Brad), Cody Smith (Hailey), Sarah Schultz (Montana), Anna Smith (Dilepso Blanco), Mary Beth Smith, Maggie Smith, Jennifer Apple (David), Bobby Allen Philpot (Mandy Tate), Heath Philpot (Stephanie) and Tanner Philpot (Kari); 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie; brother, Robert and grandson, Brian.
