Reba Jo (Childers) Shadell

Funeral Service for Reba Jo (Childers) Shadell, 85, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Shadell was born on October 8, 1937, at home in Gans, Oklahoma, to Cleve and Ola Mae (Harvey) Childers. She passed away at home, surrounded by family, on March 21, 2023 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was married to Joe Franklin Shadell on May 12, 1956 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2022. She retired after many years with Muldrow Public Schools. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and Lee’s Chapel Church.

Survivors are son, Doug of the home; daughter, Debra Fischer of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, Justin Weaver, Cody Weaver, Bruce Stanley II, Monika Jones, Marijke Hixson, Buckie Thornock, Shyanne and Joey Thornock; 14 great-grandchildren, Kiersten Weaver, Rylee Weaver, Saybree Weaver, Brynlee Weaver, Briston Weaver, Carston Weaver, Jaden Jones, Hadlee Jones, Liam Jones, Maverick Hixson, Mia Hixson, Christine Clouse, Lucy Thornock and Ezekiel Thornock; niece, Barbara Tucker, who was like a sister to her; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Joe F. Shadell; two daughters, Dewana Stanley and Deanne Shadell; her parents; two sisters, Vera Melton and Norma June Dermody; and three brothers, Cleve Childers, Jr., Virgil Childers and Mike Childers.

Active Pallbearers will be Justin Weaver, Bruce Stanley, Danny Morgan, Andy Jones, Jackie Jones and Mitchell Hixson.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Richard Huggins.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
