Peggy R. Pulliam, aged 73, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away on September 5, 2025, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born on October 11, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ella Rush (Fisher) Rowell and Earl G. Rowell.
Peggy was united in marriage to Jerry Pulliam on November 2, 1986 in Alma, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 2014. Throughout her life, she made significant contributions to her community. From 1993 to 2000, she managed the United Way in Mississippi County, Arkansas, and she achieved a historic milestone as the second female store manager in Walmart’s history while managing a store in Alma, Arkansas. Additionally, she served two terms on the Lewisville City Council and was an active member of the Lions Club affiliations in Alma, Newport, Blytheville, and Lewisville. Peggy enjoyed fishing during her leisure time.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gourd-Spicer and her husband Jon of Gans, OK; three stepchildren, Mark Pulliam of Alma, AR, Leslie Beauregard of Virginia, and Sarah Pulliam of Texas; and ten grandchildren, including Dustin Shaw, Kali Stewart, Jerek Pulliam, Miranda Pulliam, Nicholas Rodriguez, Katie Rodriguez, Kaitlyn Rodriguez, Monica Beauregard, Sabrina Beauregard, and Claire Beauregard. Peggy is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Morgan, James, Matthew, Madison, and Luke Shaw, as well as her brother, Ron Rowell of Round Rock, TX, along with many other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at BOD Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Cremation services are under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.e, Inc.
