Paula Jo (Wood) Cain

Paula Jo (Wood) Cain, beloved mother and Nana, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 31, 1955, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Rosalee Ann (Jones) Wood and Clyde Kenneth Wood.

On January 30, 1976, she married Randall Lynn "Randy" Cain in Coffeyville, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2022. Paula dedicated her life to raising, loving, and serving her family. She was also a retired educator who taught the fifth grade at Sallisaw Public Schools. She touched many lives with her patience, kindness, and passion for learning.

Paula had no greater joy than watching her sons grow into devoted husbands and fathers and ultimately becoming “Nana.” She had a gift for making each of her grandchildren feel cherished, finding special ways to connect with each of them. She never missed an opportunity to make magical memories and was a constant, encouraging presence in their lives.

She shared an unbreakable bond with her three "seesters". Vacationing with them was among her happiest memories. A special word of thanks for the care and devotion they showed her in the last months of her life.

Paula's family loved her deeply, and she is survived by two sons, Casey Cain and Amanda of Coweta, OK, and Kyle Cain and Holly of Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren: Addy, Kennedy, Jake, Landry, and Nolan; three sisters, Karen Gibson and Steve of Pawnee, OK, Janis Whitfield and Rick of Newton, KS, and Tamra Olson and Don of Afton, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andy Lynn Cain; her husband, Randy; and her parents.

A memorial service will be held to honor Paula’s life at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Paula leaves a legacy of service, devotion, and love for her family and friends, and is already missed tremendously.
