Paul James "Cookie" McClure

Funeral Service for Paul James "Cookie" McClure, 92, of Vian, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on April 24, 1933 in Vian, Oklahoma to Bessie Lee (Dunn) Winsel and A.C. McClure and passed away on September 15, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Maridel "Mary" (Webster) McClure on April 15, 1959 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2021. He was a proud Air Force Veteran who served in the Korean War. Paul and Mary owned and operated MC's Cafe, in Vian, Oklahoma, for over 20 years.

Survivors are three daughters, Karen Brown of Poteau, OK, Paula Thomas and Jimmy of Vian, OK, and Barbara Victory of Vian, OK; three sons, Paul McClure, Jr. of Fort Smith, AR, Donnie McClure and Lara of Vian, OK, and Allen McClure of the Philippines; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson; one sister, Barbara Duffy and Larry of Poteau, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son, Allen McClure; granddaughter, Tammy Brown; great-grandson, Christopher Morton; and one son-in-law, Paul Brown.

Active Pallbearers will be Dustin Thomas, Nicholas McClure, Mac White, David McClure, Cody Thomas, and Connor McClure.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Delbert Spears.

Viewing will be 2 - 8 PM Saturday and 2 - 8 Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
