She was born on January 18, 1953 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Betty June (Lowe) Essig and Donald Essig and passed away on August 28, 2023 in Mansfield, Arkansas. She was married to James McGehee on July 10, 1995 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a forklift operator at Baldor Electric.

Survivors are husband, James of the home; son, Shane Bearden and Kim of Pocola, OK; two daughters, Stephanie Bearden of Roland, OK and Deanna Smith and Blakely of Sallisaw, OK; 13 grandchildren, Destiny, Lynna, Hunter, Miguel, Lindsay, Damien, Jessica, Hadlie, Jaylie, Seth, Brylee, Jacob and Mikayla; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Susan Carey, Michelle Hill and Jessica Ellison; one brother, Trevor Ellison; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Kyle Metcalf.
