Nola Fay (Briley) Mendenhall

Nola Fay Mendenhall, age 87, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation is being handled by Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Nola was born on April 13, 1938, in Webber Falls, Oklahoma, to Okley (Martin) and Carl Eldon Briley. She shared a loving marriage with Thomas "George" Mendenhall, which began on December 2, 1955, in Stigler, Oklahoma. George preceded her in death on November 16, 2021.

Nola was a devoted homemaker and practiced her Christian faith throughout her life. Her passions included coloring, reading, sewing, and gardening. Nola was known for her artistic talents as well as her love for entertaining others.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Sharp and husband Vic of Fort Gibson, OK, and Paula Raines of Warner, OK; four grandchildren, Holly Raines and Art Stone of Muskogee, OK, Mary Sharp of Wagoner, OK, Dean Sharp of Fort Gibson, OK, and Jennifer Danielowicz of Houston, TX; as well as six great-grandchildren: Madison Campodonico and husband Chad of Houston, TX, Daron Danielowicz of Pensacola, FL, Parker Sharp of Fort Gibson, OK, Emma Stone of Wagoner, OK, Rayden Sharp of Fort Gibson, OK and Tatum Sharp of Fort Gibson, OK;

Nola is also remembered by her extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her brother Bert Briley, and her sisters Frankie Clay, Nancy Kyzer, and Lola Ballinger.

Nola Fay Mendenhall's warm spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
