Neoma M (Whittenburg) Houston

Neoma Mae Houston, 87 of Vian, Oklahoma passed away on October 12, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Vian, Oklahoma to Bertha Mae (Woodward) and James Oscar “J.O.” Whittenburg. She was married to Oather Houston on January 5, 1948 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2004. Mrs. Houston was a homemaker and member of Vian Baptist Church .

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Liz Leigh and companion, David Dameron of Vian, OKlahoma,
Dee Wells and companion, Cliff Doss of Ft. Smith, AR and Lesa Smiley and husband, Bart of Alma, AR

1 son: Danny Houston and wife, Leisa Thomas Houston of Tulsa, OK

18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Houston, 1 son: Garry Houston, 5 brothers and 5 sisters
