Funeral Service for Janie Taylor, 81, of Nicut, Oklahoma, will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Janie was born on December 31, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Maggie (Dellis) Taylor and Ike B. Bird and passed away on February 2, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married to Clarence Taylor on February 16, 1968 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2001. Janie was a home health caregiver.

Survivors are her daughter, Amanda Sevenstar and Dewayne of Nicut, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mary Nofire of Nicut, OK, Diane Daugherty of Long, OK, and Lou Soap of Long, OK; her brother, Dalite Taylor of Purdy, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Taylor; her husband; and her parents.

Active Pallbearers will be Dewayne Sevenstar, Kendall Daugherty, Sammy Daugherty, Brett Elliott, Braden Daugherty and Jeremy Mabray.

Viewing will be 2 - 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
