Kathy (Taylor) Rush

Funeral Service for Kathy (Taylor) Rush, 77, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at First Assembly of God Church in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Kathy was born on December 6, 1948, in Harrah, Oklahoma, to Frances Maxine (Stewart) Taylor and Arthur Taylor, Jr. She passed away on September 23, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She attended Choctaw Schools before graduating from Webbers Falls Public School and later continued her education at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. On September 6, 1988, Kathy married Odie Mayne Rush, and they shared many years together until his passing on September 11, 2021.

Kathy dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a nurse at Muskogee General Hospital and Three Rivers Surgery Center. Outside of her work, she had a special love for the color blue and enjoyed anything and everything in her favorite color.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Kristi McCoy of Sapulpa, OK; two grandchildren, Karissa McCoy of Sapulpa, OK, and Dillon McCoy and fiancée, Allison Sitton of Muskogee, OK; two sisters, Retha Victory and Tommy of Gans, OK, and Carol Jean Brimm and Darrell of Mustang, OK; one brother, Jim Taylor and Katie of Webbers Falls, OK; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Mayne Rush, and her parents, Frances Maxine and Arthur Taylor, Jr.

Active Pallbearers will be Dillon McCoy, Joshua Taylor, Joseph Taylor, and Jeremy Victory.

Viewing will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on Friday, prior to the service, at First Assembly of God Church in Webbers Falls.
