Mary Kay Howard

The funeral service for Mary Kay Howard, 83, of Roland, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mary was born on August 27, 1943, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Myrtle Marie Resch and Curtis Resch. She passed away on October 7, 2026, in Roland, Oklahoma. On July 26, 1963, she married Charles Alvin Howard at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland. A devoted homemaker, Mary was also a cherished member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church who enjoyed bird watching, motorcycle trips, planting flowers, camping, fishing, and the outdoors. She was a fan of the cowboy channel and sports and was deeply devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Charles of the home; daughter, Lisa Kay Shepard and Rodney of Fort Smith, AR; sons, Ronnie Howard and Krista of Roland, OK, and Jeffrey Howard of Roland, OK. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren, Tara Howard of Roland, OK, Stetson Howard and Molly Munkres of North Richland Hills, TX, Cody Howard and Nicole of Bentonville, AR, Hayley Howard of Van Buren, AR, Hannah Castleberry and Drew of Little Rock, AR, Hattie Ball and Gavin of Van Buren, AR, Kylie Waits and Coby of Roland, OK, Aleah Wilkerson and Robert of Greenwood, AR and Colton Howard of Roland, OK; and nine great-grandchildren, Anistyn, Sawyer, Tilly, Alicyn, Khloe, Ava, Hayes, Briggs and Kaislie; as well as her sister, Phyllis Stratton and husband Tommie of Alma, AR, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Resch.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Howard, Jeffrey Howard, Colton Howard, Stetson Howard, Cody Howard, and Rodney Shepard. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland.
