Funeral Service for Marvin J.L. Parker, 93, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Uniontown, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 12, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to Hazel (Kemp) Parker and Marvin Parker and passed away on July 31, 2023 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was married to Verbal Nell (Petty) Parker on June 5, 1949 in Farmersville, California. He was a retired minister and contractor.

Survivors are wife, Verbal of the home; two daughters, Sharon Fugate and Morgan of Vian, OK and Terri Parker; one son, Steven Parker and Debra of Vian, OK; three granddaughters, Valerie Anderson, Christina Smith and April Beth Parker; three grandsons, Marvin Keith Fugate, Jeffrey William Fugate and Brent Parker; nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Parker; his parents; and one sister, Louise “Susie” Scott.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
