Funeral Service for Martin "Charley Horse" Huffmaster, 76 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on November 18, 1947 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Ola Mae (Neal) Huffmaster and Martin Harlan Huffmaster and passed away on May 6, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Patricia (Ashmore) Huffmaster on 1999 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Huffmaster was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors are wife, Pat of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Schoonveld of Jasper, AR; two sons, Aaron Huffmaster and Lisa of Greenbriar, AR and Bill Huffmaster and Wendy of Paragould, AR; one step daughter, Patty McAllister and Sean of Canadian, OK; two step sons, Jeff Whitaker of Tahlequah, OK and Steven Whitaker and Renda of Sallisaw, OK; eight grandchildren, Matthew and Jodi Whitaker, Conner and Fischer McAllister, Nathan Huffmaster, Colby and Asher Huffmaster and Andrew Schoonveld; two sisters, Darlene Morris of Granby, MO and Linda Martindale of Prarie Grove, AR; one brother, Ivan Huffmaster of Lincoln, AR; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 brothers: Billy Wayne, Winford, Bob and Danny Joe Huffmaster.

Active Pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons. 

Honorary Pallbearer will be Shad Wharton. 

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
