Marcus Alexander Downs

Memorial Service for Marcus Alexander Downs, 11 of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at The BOD Church in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on March 8, 2013 in Schenectady, New York to Ashly Nicole Love and Andrew Marcus Downs and passed away on April 14, 2024 in Roland, Oklahoma.  Marcus loved playing Minecraft and video games. He loved animals of all kinds, even rehoming spiders that he found around the house. He was a wizard with numbers and a vibrant student at Roland Elementary School until he was diagnosed with childhood cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy in May of 2022 which caused a rapid decline in his health. He will be missed dearly by all that he has touched.

Survivors are parents, Ashly Love and Andrew Downs of the home; sister, Adrianna Seela of Roland, OK; grandparents, David Downs of North Hampton, NY, Joyce Downs of Schroon Lake, NY, Alexandria and Dennis Love of McKinney, TX; great-grandparents, Nancy Downs of Gloversville, NY, Anita Collins of Sallisaw, OK and George and Linda Love of Governeur, NY; aunt, McKenzie Love of Scotia, NY; uncles, Michael Downs of Delmar, NY and Dan Downs of Schenectady, NY; and other relatives and friends.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Adrianna Seela.
