Mamie (Leigh) Roberts

Mamie (Leigh) Roberts, age 92, formerly of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on November 13, 1932, in the Drake Prairie Community of Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, to Bonnie Dawn (Bruton) Leigh and Floyd Leigh.

Mamie married B.G. Roberts on February 28, 1952, in Van Buren, Arkansas, and shared with him many cherished moments until his passing on December 5, 1974. For 21 years, she devoted her skills and care to cooking, leaving a lasting impression on all those whose lives she touched.

She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Diane Hamilton and Fred of Norman, OK, Karen Roberts of Oklahoma City, OK, and Christie Raybern and Scott of Oklahoma City, OK; as well as her son, Gary Roberts and Sherry of Wichita, KS. Mamie also leaves behind three grandchildren: Nicholas Archibald and Maria, Ashley Roberts, and Wesley Roberts; one great-grandchild, Nathan Archibald; and many other relatives and close friends.

Mamie is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Viola Leigh and Margie Smith; and one brother, Wesley Roger Leigh.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, followed by burial at Buffington Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing that will take place one hour prior to the service.
