Louise (Brashier) Laxton

Graveside Service for Louise (Brashier) Laxton, 88, of Checotah, Oklahoma, will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Fields Cemetery in Porum, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on December 10, 1937 in Briartown, Oklahoma to Alice (Clinton) Brashier and Lon Brashier and passed away on December 22, 2025 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was married to Ronnie P. Laxton. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2011. She was a retail clerk.

Survivors are two sons, Lennie Laxton and Marsha of Agra, OK and Steven Laxton and Loeresa of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren, Christy, Jennifer, Brandy Lynn, Brett, Cody, Zachary and Alyssa; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Archa of Checotah, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Wayne Laxton; husband; parents; three sisters, Nez, Maxine and Betty; and four brothers, Orville, Dean, Red and Bill.
