She was born on June 24, 1970 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Francis Craighead and passed away on April 17, 2026 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to John Wayne Brooks.

Lisa lived a life centered around love, connection, and her family. She truly enjoyed spending time with the people she cared about. She loved long phone calls where she could catch up on life, and she especially enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s school and sporting events to cheer them on— no matter the distance.

Lisa had a personality that was loving, sincere, and uniquely her own. She was wonderfully quirky, with a great sense of humor and a gift for making others laugh. She especially loved retelling funny family memories, bringing joy and laughter to those around her time and time again.

She had a gift for meeting people where they were. Whether someone needed comfort or someone to celebrate with, Lisa was there. She gave freely of herself and made others feel seen, heard, and cared for. Even through life’s hardships, Lisa showed incredible strength and perseverance. She continued to show up for others, offering love and support even when she had very little herself—a true reflection of her character and grit.

Lisa worked in elder care, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of those she helped. She cared for people like they were family, and in many ways, they became family to her. She took pride in being someone others could rely on.

Lisa was a truly special friend. She had a way of making each person feel important, like they held a unique and cherished place in her life. To know Lisa was to love her. She built deep, lasting connections and made friends feel like family, leaving everyone she knew feeling valued, cared for, and remembered.

Above all, Lisa was a devoted wife and mother. She was deeply proud of her family—not just for what they accomplished, but for who they were. She loved them fully and unconditionally, and found her greatest joy simply in being part of their lives and watching them grow.

Her strength, her laughter, and her love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
