Lillie Mae (Bynum) Younger

Funeral service for Lillie Mae Younger, 84 of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 12, 1938 in Tioga, Texas to Hazel Marie (Barrow) Bynum and Olen Clifton Bynum and passed away on March 23, 2023 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was married to Elbert Lee Younger on February 19, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2020. Mrs. Younger was a homemaker and a member of Scott Pentecostal Church.

Survivors are three daughters, JoAnn Hayes, Vicki Darlene Younger and Rita Mae Benge and Kevin, all of Roland, OK; one son, Gary Lee Younger and Marlene of Muldrow, OK; six grandchildren, Shaun Hayes-Roberson and Kimya of Tulsa, OK, Dwayne Hayes and Donna, Telitha McMurray and Clayton, Dakotah Benge, Brandi Vann and Wade, all of Roland, OK and Brian Owens and Libby of Muldrow, OK; seven great-grandchildren, Kirk McDonald and Samantha of Fort Smith, AR, Destinie McDonald, Brinkley Hayes, Lynnli Benge, Whitley Coatney and Logan, all of Roland, OK, Eva McMurray of Howe, OK and Brookelyn Owens of Muldrow, OK; four great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Ince, Harvey McDonald, Addy McDonald and Avery McDonald, all of Fort Smith, AR; two sisters, Delores Ann Lowery of Malvern, AR and Connie Sue Parker of Malvern, AR; two brothers, John Lee Bynum of Benbrook, TX and Don Clifton Bynum of Fort Worth, TX; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert “Boog” Younger; one daughter, Karen Lynn Younger; her parents, Olen and Hazel Bynum; one brother, two sisters, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Ben and Dorothy Bynum, Pat and Glen Bradley, Janet Sparks and David Parker.

Active Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hayes, Shaun Hayes-Roberson, Dakotah Benge, Brinkley Hayes, Kirk McDonald and Clayton McMurray.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Younger, Kevin Benge, Brian Owens, Harvey McDonald, Jacob Ince and Wade Vann.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
