Lillian L. Thompson

Lillian L. Thompson, aged 95, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas. Born on February 11, 1931, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Fairy Mae (English) Riddle and William Elvin Riddle, Lillian cherished her family and community deeply.

On July 6, 1981, she married Norl E. Thompson in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1992. Lillian dedicated many years to working at Riverside Furniture. Her passions included gardening, planting flowers, and gospel music. Above all, she treasured her grandchildren.

Her memory is carried on by her daughter, Teresa Wheeler of Fayetteville, AR; two sons, Jimmy White and Durhonda, and Larry White and Linda, all of Muldrow, OK; eight grandchildren, Lisa Evans, Brian Thomason, Vickie Rankin, Merle Thomason, Taylor White, Sabrina Odom, Samantha Johnson, and Jonathan White; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Jesse Riddle of Roland, OK; and many other relatives and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Maggie Osborne and Myrtle Dewitt; and two brothers, Vernon Riddle and Johnnie Riddle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma, followed by interment at 1:00 PM at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Viewing will be held from 2 - 8 PM on Sunday at the chapel in Muldrow.

Active pallbearers are Jacob Johnson, Jimmy Dewayne Odom, Jonathan White, Merle Thomason, Kalen Thomason, and Travis Thomason. Honorary pallbearers include Brian Thomason, Austin Thomason, and Mark Rodriguez.

Lillian’s warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
