Leslie Zebbie Strong

Leslie Zebbie Strong, age 77, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2026. He was born on July 11, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, to Nora (Summers) Cantrell and Floyd Raymond Strong. Leslie dedicated much of his life to family and service, as he was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army.

On July 9, 1969, Leslie married Joyce (Miller) Strong in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Leslie spent many years working as a forklift driver at Whirlpool Corporation, where he eventually retired, and also worked as a truck driver for OK Foods.

Leslie enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing, and had a great appreciation for classic cars.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Strong, of the home; one daughter, Stacy Neal and Charlie of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and one brother, Raymond Strong of Muldrow, Oklahoma. Leslie also leaves behind four grandchildren: Whitney Moreland and Kyle of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Baylie Richardson and Zach of Roland, Oklahoma, Seth Neal of Okemah, Oklahoma and Carlie Derosa of Okemah, Oklahoma. He was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Abbigail Moreland and Peyton Moreland, both of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Rylie Derosa and Waylon Derosa, both of Okemah, Oklahoma.

Leslie was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Cantrell; his father, Floyd Strong; and four siblings: Ellie Izora Strong, Geraldine White, Deloris Jeannie Kelley, and Goldie Marie Strong.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma.

Viewing will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 10 AM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, where the family will greet visitors from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Active pallbearers include Rickey West, Gregory Kelley, Rickey Laster, Mike Laster, Eddie Rogers, and James Reed.

Leslie will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
