Les "Red" Howell

Les "Red" Howell was born on July 24, 1954, in Ft. Hood, Texas, to Betty Marie (Kelley) Howell and Stanley Lesley Howell. He departed this life on August 27, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Les married Susan Jalynn (Miller) Howell on June 25, 2005, at Lesley Howell Ranch in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Throughout his life, he embraced his roles as a welder, entrepreneur, and rancher, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Les is survived by his beloved wife, Jalynn Howell; his daughter, Leslie Howell Ygay of Fort Worth, Texas; his cherished grandson, Samson Ygay of Fort Worth, Texas; two stepdaughters, Brittani Miller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Bethany Barnes, along with husband Shane, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; a stepson, Blake Brunk, and wife Kelsie Brunk of Muldrow, Oklahoma; five step-grandchildren: Jaelynn Batiste, Kaybree Miller, Harper Barnes, Kyntli Brunk, and Kendrix Brunk; one brother, Danny Howell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Robin (Rogers) Howell.

Active pallbearers will include Samson Ygay, Chris Lineberry, Jeremy Walters, Roger Thompson, Zach Brown, and Blake Brunk.

Viewing will take place from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow, under the guidance of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

In honoring Les's love for the cowboy spirit, those attending the service are kindly requested to wear their favorite cowboy hats.
