She was born on October 9, 1948 in Tulare, California to Christine Pauline (Adkins) Jones and Donald Norman Jones and passed away on January 4, 2022 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in Shafter, California where she met her future husband in high school. She married Clinton Harvey Johnson on August 7, 1965 in Shafter, California and they had three children. They moved to Sallisaw in November 2010. Leona was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors are:

husband of 56 years, Clinton Johnson of the home;

1 daughter, Tanya Johnson of Sallisaw, OK;

1 son, Clint Johnson and his wife, Melisa, of Sallisaw, OK;

3 sisters and 2 brothers;

7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;

and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Tammy Wilson.
