Memorial Service by family for Lawrence Wagner, 69, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 13, 1951 in Rayville, Louisiana to Bertha Lee (Sanders) Stokes and Charles Wagner and passed away on October 26, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Wagner was a general laborer and worked at Walmart in Sallisaw. He was a phenomenal football player and track athlete.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Tamera Lowry;

4 grandsons: Adareo Lowry, D’Angelo Lowry, Demario Lowry and Orlando Avila;

1 great grandson: DeMari Lowry;

2 sisters: Bertha Mae Mitchell of Fort Smith, AR and Viola Dianne Grayson of Riverside, CA;

nieces and nephews: Latonya Chambers, Eric Wilson, Shavess Mitchell, Antonette Burnett, Shannon Riley and Try’Nun Grayson;

other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Bertha Lee Stokes; father: Charles Wagner and 1 brother: Arthur Sanders.
