Funeral Service for Larry Wayne “Bud” Underwood, Jr., 60, of Dyer, Arkansas will be at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 2, 1963 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to LaFaye (Mendenhall) Hatley and Larry Wayne Underwood, Sr. and passed away on December 1, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was married to Debroah Underwood. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Air Force and was very proud of his military service. He also worked as an Accountant for the United States Navy and Wilson Heat and Air. He was a true “Harley Man” and loved to ride on the open road. He loved his family and was very close to them.

Survivors are wife, Debroah Underwood; one daughter, Laresa Underwood of California; one sister, Sherry Gotham and Jim of Sapulpa, OK; three brothers, Terry Underwood and Jeana of Sallisaw, OK, Bill Underwood and Jenie of Owasso, OK and Ronnie Hatley, Jr. and Becky of Dyer, AR; mother and step-father, LaFaye and Ronnie Hatley, Sr. of Fort Smith, AR; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Underwood, Sr.

Active Pallbearers will be Terry Underwood, Bill Underwood, Ronnie Hatley, Sr., Ronnie Hatley, Jr., Lester Nuckolls and Jim Gotham.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
