Kimogene McCombs

Kimogene McCombs, age 91, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on February 15, 2026. She was born on February 17, 1934, in Bibbs Mountain, Oklahoma, to Pearl (Morris) and Hezekiah McCombs.

Kimogene had a passion for gardening, with a particular love for growing roses. Her dedication extended to her life on the farm, where she cherished raising cattle and chickens.

She is survived by her two sons, John McCombs and Rhonda of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Phillip Scott and Dede of Okinawa, Japan. Additionally, her legacy continues through her four grandchildren: Ashley Stelzner and Justin of Richmond, Virginia; Haley Scott of Antioch, Tennessee; Lindsey Hill of Claremore, Oklahoma; and Katie Wagge and Josiah of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Ella Hill of Claremore, Oklahoma, and leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Kimogene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Joe Bauman, Freeman McCombs, and William McCombs and three sisters, Myrtle Bauman, Margaret Criswell, and Naomi Andrews.

A funeral service in her honor will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, followed by burial at Brushy Cemetery. The service is being conducted under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Family and friends may pay their respects during viewing hours from 9 AM to 8 PM on Friday at the Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will be available to greet visitors from 6 PM to 8 PM. Active pallbearers will be family.
