Today, we honor the life of a hardworking and devoted man, who was called home on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Kevin Lee Benge was born on June 27, 1965, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Oleta Armer and Billy Lee Benge.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, where his dedication and skill was recognized, as he was awarded several service ribbons. He was a gifted sharpshooter and marksman during his service time. He spent 35 years working at Stryten Energy, providing for his family with dedication and pride.
After meeting Rita, together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. They were married in 1986 and shared 39 years together, supporting one another through life’s challenges and celebrating its many joys. From their union they were blessed with two children.
A man of simple pleasures and strong values, he found peace in serving The Lord at Scott Pentecostal Church, and in the outdoors — from the thrill of a fishing tournament, or the excitement of deer season. Saturday afternoons in the fall were reserved for cheering on his beloved Oklahoma Sooners.
Above all, he treasured time with his family. His children and grandchildren were a blessing and joy in his life. Whether it was celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying a quiet evening together, he created memories that will be cherished for generations.
He is survived by his wife, Rita of the home; daughter, Telitha McMurray and Clayton of Roland, OK; son, Dakotah Benge and Liza of Muldrow, OK; three cherished grandchildren, Evangeline McMurray, Lynnli Benge, and Rylee Benge; two sisters, Lindsey Timmons and Steve of Sallisaw, OK, and Dana Kelley and Steve of Roland, OK; step-mother, Lisa Benge of Sallisaw, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Bill Benge; and mother, Oleta Armer.
A funeral service to honor Kevin's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma, with burial following at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and hard work lives on in those who knew him.
