Pastor Kennith W. Bynum, age 83, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 26, 2026. Born on September 26, 1942, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he was the son of Marie (English) Bynum and Cecil Bynum. A devoted figure in his community, Pastor Bynum served as a pastor for over 50 years across Oklahoma and faithfully fulfilled his duties as a member of the Army National Guard.

He married Caroline Sue (Reed) Bynum on November 4, 1966, in Roland, Oklahoma. Together, they built a loving family that thrived under his guidance and support. Pastor Bynum graduated from Roland High School and, through the years, became a foundation of strength and love for those around him.

His cherished survivors include his beloved wife, Sue; his three daughters: Stephanie Pearson and Larry of Roland, OK, JoJa Bynum of Roland, OK, and Davonna Whittenburg and Justin of Muldrow, OK. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Ethan Pearson and Brianna, Emilee Vandenberg and Kyle, Elisabeth Pearson, Ashton Ogilvie and Cameron, Makayla Bartlett and Tyler, Mathew Whittenburg and Ali, and Eli Whittenburg. He was a proud great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Tucker, Ella Kate, Blakely, Brewer, Clara, Eden, and Berklee. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Iva Jean Gray of Roland, OK; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Pastor Bynum is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Shirley Lorraine Gray.

A funeral service to honor Pastor Kennith W. Bynum will take place on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the House of Refuge in Gans, Oklahoma, with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Viewing will be available on Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, where the family will greet visitors from 3 PM to 5 PM.

Active pallbearers will include Eli Whittenburg, Matthew Whittenburg, Tyler Bartlett, Ethan Pearson, Cameron Ogilvie, and Kyle Vandenberg, while honorary pallbearers will be Danny Brewer, Larry Pearson, Justin Whittenburg, Steven Keith, Daniel Goff, Mark Jones, Colton Reed, and Darren Gray.

Pastor Kennith W. Bynum will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and the impact he made on countless lives throughout his ministry. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
