Funeral Service for Kenneth Edward Martindale, 78, of Akins / Miller Ridge Community, Oklahoma will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Akins, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 25, 1945 in Akins, Oklahoma to Olene Inez Cole Martindale and James Allen “Cork” Martindale and passed away on December 24, 2023, at home in Miller Ridge, Oklahoma. He was married to Jawana Martindale on July 25, 1985 in Black Hawk, Colorado. He was a retired construction foreman for Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative and a Trustee of the Akins Baptist Church.

Survivors are wife, Jawana of the home; two sons, Duane Martindale and Pam of Akins, OK and Jason Rider of Miller Ridge, OK; three grandchildren, Tyler Martindale of Akins, OK, McKenna Nation and Derek of Poteau, OK and Michael Rider of Miller Ridge, OK; one great-grandson, Yona Rider of Miller Ridge, OK; mother-in-law, Vernon Jean Roberts of Miller Ridge, OK; aunt, Kay Cole of Sallisaw, OK; and a very special friend, Donna Darcy, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen “Cork” Martindale and Olene Inez Cole Martindale; and two brothers, Salty and Tiny Martindale.

Active Pallbearers will be Tyler Martindale, Derek Nation, Michael Rider, Steven London, Gary Don Lattimore and Rodney Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Garvin, Wayne Brown, Larry Henson, LaNettee Shamblin, Taylor Dodd, John Wylie, Donna Darcy, Tommie Allen, Bob Harkreader and the Sallisaw High School Class of 1964.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
