Kelly K. Buttrey

Kelly K. Buttrey, 53, of Vian, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1973, in Wichita, Kansas, to Robert Lewis Buttrey and Violet Jean Buttrey.

Kelly devoted much of her life to being a homemaker and caring for those she loved. She had a gentle spirit and a genuinely kind heart. She loved horses, cherished her dogs and cats, and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She liked having beautiful flowers around her home and loved photography, having a unique eye for capturing beauty. Kelly dearly loved her children and those closest to her. Those who knew her often remarked that she never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her quiet kindness, compassion, and caring nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kelly is survived by her son, Dylan Dale Ray Buttrey of Vian, Oklahoma; her daughter, Cherokee April Jean Hallsten of Cashion, Oklahoma; her mother, Violet Jean Buttrey; her sister, Cathy Lynn Matthews of Wichita, Kansas; her sister, Tammy Sue McGraw of Atlanta, Kansas; her sister, Bobbi Jean McHatten of El Dorado, Kansas; her brother, Michael Lewis Buttrey of Vian, Oklahoma; her first grandchild, Jaxson, expected in November 2026; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lewis Buttrey.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Box Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Dale Ray Buttrey, Michael Lewis Buttrey, Robert Michael Wayne Buttrey, Anthony John Hallsten, Cody Ryan Buttrey, and Nathanael James McHatten.
