Katharina Martin

Katharina Martin, 94, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on May 24, 2025, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born on July 28, 1930, in Munich, Germany, to Maria (Meier) Michael and Ludwig Michael.

Katharina was a devoted homemaker who took great joy in gardening, especially nurturing her beloved roses. She had a passion for reading, cooking, and solving puzzles, particularly sudoku. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

She leaves behind three daughters, Margie Avlos Barnes and Terry of Roland, OK, Maria Wolf and Bill of Muldrow, OK, and Ruthie "Marty" Taylor of Alma, AR; one son, Steve Martin of Fort Smith, AR; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Maria Liebhaber of Munich, Germany; along with many other relatives and friends.

Katharina was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Karen Jackson; one son, Joseph Ludwig Martin; two great-grandchildren, Brecken Cook and Joshua Michael Martin; her parents; and two sisters, Luise Schick and Ilse Gusscutt.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. 

Active pallbearers will include Bill Wolf, Dougie Martin, Leslie Martin, Chad Letlow, Willie Wolf, and Kalaeb Wolf.

Family and friends are invited to visit and pay their respects on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK, where the family will be present from 6 PM to 8 PM.
