Julie (Watts) Smoke

Julie (Watts) Smoke, 49, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on May 14, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on July 13, 1975, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Linda (Rhoades) Watts and Ed Watts.

Julie’s journey of life was illuminated by her sense of humor and talent as a baker, creating memorable cakes that brought joy to those around her. She married her beloved husband, Mike Smoke, on February 12, 2003, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Julie’s passion for life extended to her love for flowers, her cherished son London, and simple pleasures like pickle sno-cones, all of which reflected her vibrant spirit.

Julie is survived by her husband, Mike; her son, London Smoke of Sallisaw, OK; her father and stepmother, Ed and Sharon Watts of Sallisaw, OK; her sister, Debra James of Sallisaw, OK; three brothers, John Beasley of Cunningham, KY, Nathan Beasley of Sallisaw, OK, and Eric Iker of Lindsey, OK; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. She will be profoundly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Watts.

A funeral service in her honor will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hanson Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, followed by burial at Peters Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Friends and family may pay their respects from 10 AM to 8 PM on Monday at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, with the family welcoming visitors from 6 PM to 8 PM.
