Judith (Sonnick) Adkins

Viewing for Judith (Sonnick) Adkins, 80, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Judith was born on September 18, 1945, in Bronx, New York, to Viola (Marcus) Sonnick and George Thomas Sonnick, Sr. She passed away on August 3, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

In her earlier years, Judith worked at Planters Peanuts and attended Murry Spur Freewill Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma. Her faith and the relationships she built were important parts of her life. She and her sister, Susie, looked forward to watching the Sunday morning service from Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma, together each week on television. Judith loved being around the water, especially the ocean, and was a true foodie who enjoyed all types of cuisine. Most of all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and the many memories they created together.

She is survived by her children, Brian McAllister and wife Danna of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Dana Barnes of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Debbie Allen and husband Todd of Van Buren, Arkansas, Lea Ann Holt and husband Kevin of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Evan Adkins and wife Heather of Arkoma, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, Jennifer, Brett, Derek, Beth Ann, Jeremy, Jessica, Gary Jr., William, KaGyn, Tristan, Britanney, Brooke, Addison, Tyler, and Allison; 28 great-grandchildren; special close great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cooper, Sydney, Hunter, Grayson, and Berkley; one brother, Michael Sonnick of Camden, New York; one sister, Susie Renwick of Fair Grove, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Larry Lee McAllister and Donald Leon Adkins; two brothers, George T. Sonnick, Jr. and Richard S. Sonnick; and one sister, Carol J. Morris.
