Joyce Colleen Junk

Joyce Colleen Junk, age 83, of Vian, Oklahoma, passed away on February 16, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 12, 1942, in Spencer, Oklahoma to Ann and Joe Nunley.

Joyce was known for her vibrant spirit and joy for life. She worked in maintenance at several factories, demonstrating her strong work ethic and dedication. Joyce had a variety of interests, which included going to yard sales, dining out, riding motorcycles, fishing, playing games, and enjoying cards. A talented musician, she played the drums, bringing cheer to those around her.

She is survived by her children, Merlin Timothy Turman of Cookson, OK, Karen Colleen Marvin and husband Wayne of Sallisaw, OK, Richard Eugene Turman and wife Tara of Tecumseh, OK, and Marlin Ray "Bill" Turman and wife Lisa of Wagoner, OK; nine grandchildren, Josh Turman, Autumn Reid, Dakota Turman, Wyatt Turman, Misty Marvin, Briley Marvin, Luke Turman, Kyle Turman, and Candace Turman; and five great-grandchildren, Landon and Maddie Turman, Aiden and Jenson Reid, and Candace Averie Young;. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Nunley of Vian, OK, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Merlin Turman, Allen Juel, and Henry Junk; one grandson, Dolen Ray Turman; three sisters, Geneva Richards, Mary Duncan, and Donna Paredes; and one brother, Joe Dean Nunley.

A funeral service to honor Joyce's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Box Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Viewing will be available on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2 PM to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will be present to greet visitors from 2 PM to 5 PM. Active pallbearers include Joshua Turman, Dakota Turman, Wyatt Turman, Shawn Dooley Duncan, Brandon McEver, Brandon Majors, Dwayne Jenkins, and T.J. Reason.

Joyce's love for her family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
