Funeral Service for Joe Ziemba, 52, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at United Faith Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Joe was born on October 3, 1973 in Blythe, California to Julie Carolyn (Parsons) Ziemba and Joseph Steven Ziemba. He passed away on July 7, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Joe married the love of his life, Shey Lynn (Lessley) Ziemba, on December 22, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Together they shared 20 wonderful years after meeting in 2006. He worked as a Switch Operator for United States Lime and Minerals, Inc. and was a faithful member of United Faith Church in Sallisaw.
Joe never met a stranger. He loved meeting new people and always left them with a smile. His family meant everything to him, and he was their superhero and protector. His faith, kindness, and love for others will always be remembered. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His grandchildren lovingly knew him as "Pow Pow," a name he wore with great pride.
He is survived by his wife, Shey, of the home; three daughters, Brianna Ziemba, Alayna Ziemba-Corbett and Jonathan, and Emma Lessley-Ziemba, all of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Sydalee Thomas, Weston Thomas, Oaklyn Cowan, and Sembree Wright; his mother, Julie Parsons Ziemba of Akins, Oklahoma; one sister, Patricia Ann Ziemba-Setser and companion, Rick Whitworth, of Brushy Lake, Oklahoma; three nephews, Stephen Branham and Sarah Haasser of Brushy, Oklahoma, Ethan Branham of Brushy, Oklahoma, and Keegan Setser and Chloe Castillo of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one niece, Lilliana Setser of Muldrow, Oklahoma; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Pollock" Ziemba.
Active Pallbearers will be Jonathan Corbett, Parker Atkinson, Zach Truett, Dakota McDuffie, Stephen Branham, and Keegan Setser.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe's coworkers and friends from United States Lime and Minerals, Taylor Sanders, Dayton Campbell, Weston Thomas, and Clifford Frye, Sr.
Viewing and visitation arrangements will be announced at a later time.
