John Junior Gibbins

Funeral Service for John Junior Gibbins, 93, of Van Buren, Ark, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on October 23, 1931 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Sarah (Burns) Gibbins and John E. Gibbins and passed away on September 12, 2025 in Van Buren, Arkansas. John proudly served as an Army Recruiter until his retirement.

Survivors are special friend, Shirley Vange of Van Buren, AR; two daughters, Cathy Murry and John of Baxter Springs, MO and Karen Blackbourn of Bartlesville, OK; one son, Tommy L. Gibbins and Janie of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, John Gibbins and Brian Edward Gibbins; his parents, John and Sarah Gibbins; three sisters, Faye Corbell, Irene Hughes, and Lois Nunn; and four brothers, Carl, Walter, Eugene and R.L. Gibbins.

Viewing will be 1 - 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
