Joan (Sires) Kusler

Funeral service for Joan Kusler, 86 of Gore, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Lighthouse Tabernacle in Gore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on February 10, 1937 in Perry, Oklahoma to Juanita (Williams) Sires and Delmer Sires and passed away on April 26, 2023 in Gore, Oklahoma. She was married to Frank Kusler on March 6, 1955 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2020. Mrs. Kusler was a beautician and member of Lighthouse Tabernacle in Gore.

Survivors are one daughter, Deena Kusler and David Kauk of Tahlequah, OK; one son, Dewayne Kusler and Mae of Gore, OK; five grandchildren, Rachel Summerlin of Tahlequah, OK, Diana Boston and Kenny of Lost City, OK, Daniel Kusler and Kassie of Gore, OK, Samuel Kusler and Sarah of Tulsa, OK and Jesse Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; nine grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters, Earlene Hillman of Jones, OK, Kathy Baker of Edmond, OK and Linda Skelton of Denton, TX; one brother, Jr. Sires of Harrah, OK; adopted family, The Taylors; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Active Pallbearers will be Danny Kusler, Sam Kusler, Anthony White, Larry Carter, Jimmy Taylor and Kenny Boston.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Smith and Ezekiel Loudermilk.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 pm Monday at Agent Milsap Event Center in Gore.
