Joan (Craig) Burleson

Graveside memorial service for Joan Burleson, 82 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 1, 1941 in Sunray, Texas to Josephine (Carpenter) Craig and James Glen Craig and passed away on April 30, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Bob Burleson on April 7, 1961 in Texhoma, Oklahoma. Mrs. Burleson was a nurse.

Survivors are husband, Bob of the home; one son, Russel Burleson and Tina of Sallisaw, OK; one granddaughter, Paige Burleson of Wylie, TX; one brother, Fred Craig of Enid, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Madelyn McMahan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
